Reaume Park Riverside
Reaume Park

Riverside is the largest neighbourhood on the east end of Windsor.  Most of the houses were built in the 1950s and many are brick 1 1/2 storeys or ranches on manicured lawns, ideal for small families or retirees.  Some, especially along the river, are quite beautiful with tremendous historical and monetary value.  The neighbourhood stretches from Thompson Boulevard in the west, to Little River in the east, and from the VIA/CN line along the south, to the Detroit River and Riveride Drive in the north.

Riverside Drive has the most expensive and beautiful homes and real estate in the City along "the Gold Coast", complete with bike lanes and meandering trails and parks.  Riverside was once a separate town, incorporated in 1921 but was amalgamated into Windsor in 1966.  It is home to quaint neighbourhood shops, as well as all the conveniences a large city can offer -- a library, arena and community centre, as well as many parks, schools and playgrounds.

Adjacent to Riverside proper is an area formerly known as The Villages of Riverside (now Little River Acres).  It is a small community just west of Little River.  It was built during the 1970's and consists of mostly single family homes (the majority of which are 2 stories), both owned and rented, in a relatively small area.  These homes were built on small lots in a short time span, during a period when affordable housing was desperately needed in the area.  Pride of ownership has been increasing in the area, improving it's reputation.  Within the neighbourhood there are no specific attractions or facilities, but nearby features include a few parks, Riverside Secondary School and an entrance to the GanatchioTrail.  The area is serviced by Transit Windsor, providing access to all other areas of the City,
