Suburban Homes was founded in 1957 by Tarcisio Brotto. After getting a start building houses, Suburban Construction shifted focus to the field of commercial and institutional
projects such as schools, churches, and hospitals. Suburban had no difficulty securing jobs as by this time the company was already being recognized as a one of excellent reputation and exceptional quality.
At the age of eighteen, Andrew Brotto, Ted and Louisa Brotto’s only son decided to test the waters of the construction industry and joined the company, initially helping out with job costing, and site supervising. Ted’s two daughters Sandra and Monica Brotto, have never been directly involved in day- to-day operations of the business but have always enjoyed giving their input and suggestions on design which is greatly valued by the company.
The Belle River Arena was the last significant project completed by Suburban Construction. In 1980 Andrew took full reigns of the company and made a decision to focus the company’s efforts on new home construction. With a new path being followed, it was only fit to modify the name to reflect this new direction so the company became Suburban Homes as it is known today.
Under Andrew’s control Suburban has built some of the highest quality homes in Windsor’s east end. Within the past years Suburban Homes has made a very successful expansion into LaSalle and plans to move into other parts of Essex County in the near future.

As you head west on Reaume Road, you first notice the stone gates and fencing -- a classical design that exudes an understated elegance. You turn in past the island entrance, and you immediately feel that you have entered a special place. Driving onward, you appreciate the large classical homes, set on large properties that are set further back from the road than most other subdivisions. You notice the wonderfully landscaped properties, and the beautiful streetscape. Red Oak trees have been planted along the roadway about every 20 feet. "Wow! Someone really must of put a lot of thought into this area" you say to yourself.
Attention to detail is evident everywhere like the streetlights, which are a classical acorn lantern style with stately spun concrete poles. Driving on further, you note this is not a large subdivision.. its a small little collection of about 33 homes.. a quiet enclave.
As you pass a circle island in the roadway's cul-de-sac and a backdrop of tall trees catch your eye. It seems that some of these homes back on a protected woodland paradise. There is a walkway that meanders into the natural wonderland, a paved trail that is perfect for a morning jog, a casual bike ride or a evening stroll. What a wonderful place to live and raise a family. As you drive on it hits you, this is paradise.. this is home. Welcome to The Enclave of Tuscany Oaks.
